2021 Conference Youth Leaders - Andy & Joy Clark.
Andy & Joy have been involved in youth ministry for over 20 years and have a passion for both evangelism and discipleship among young people. They have led the youth programme at Spring Harvest and other national Christian conferences as well as leading music teams on tours in The Netherlands and Germany.
For the past 5 years Andy & Joy have worked for Youth for Christ heading up their touring band The Sense which is made up of young Christian musicians who have taken a year out to perform in high schools and at youth events all around the UK.
The team love having the opportunity to share the difference Jesus has made in their lives, to help young people discover Jesus for themselves and to see them grow in their relationship with him.
We have some exciting updates about the youth conference as we plan and prepare for the programme this year!
As we began to discuss and imagine young people who were really inspired by the Jewish roots of their faith and motivated to live their lives radically; not shaped and moulded by the culture around them but transformed by Jesus to live differently, we felt it might be a good time for a new name for the youth programme.
So in 2021, Big House will become...RADIX! Download the RADIX flyer here.
Radix may seem a strange word but it has two meanings which are relevant to all that we will be trying to teach and achieve in the coming years through the youth conference.
First, Radix means ‘root’ and we want to ensure that the teaching we bring follows a rich Jewish heritage. But Radix also implies being radical which Jesus certainly was as he brought a whole new counter-cultural, upside-down way of living to his disciples!
We would love for the young people who attend conference to be so rooted and established in Christ that, in coming to know Jesus and the power of His Spirit at work in them, they would be radically transformed and given new confidence to live out and share their faith.
