The workshop will touch on the many factors inspiring the production of the graphic novel, ‘The Unshakeables’, ranging from Abigail’s life experiences in Israel, exposure to Kelvin’s research and ministry amongst the Jewish people, family history, and the participation in the Duke of Edinburgh and Queens Awards. More importantly, the workshop will focus on the story of Abigail’s family, and how it can serve as a reminder of how important it is to have a strong faith during an unpredictable and challenging world.

Abigail grew up in Jerusalem, Israel in the early years of her life, exposed to the evangelical work of her parents Kelvin and Lexie Crombie in their respective fields. After moving to Australia at age 7, Abigail joined the Girls Brigade, and completed the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queens Award. Through which she wrote her graphic novel, ‘The Unshakeables’, about her maternal great grandfather and his brother’s efforts to oppose the Nazi regime during the Second World War in the Netherlands.
