Alva McClain wrote, “The Kingdom of God is, in an important sense, the grand central theme of all Holy Scripture.” Yet, for most Christians, it is a topic that hovers in the wings rather than taking centre stage. In our time together, we will unpack this meaningful theme seeking to understand what the kingdom is and what difference it makes in our daily lives. We will also examine Christ and the Kingdom recognising that there was no subject more important to Jesus and, while on earth, he demonstrated the present and powerful Kingdom of God.
